Biography
About Gabriel
Gabriel Adams is a Pacific Northwest guitarist and performing musician based in the Portland/Vancouver area, working across solo instrumental music, duo performances, session playing and larger concert productions.
He performs regularly as a solo instrumental guitarist and in duo settings, and serves as rhythm guitarist for concert rock violinist Aaron Meyer. He has also performed and recorded with regional artists and musical groups.
Born and raised in Haiti, Gabriel was exposed early to Caribbean and African music. Those influences became part of his formative experience playing bass, drums and guitar. By college he immersed himself in private guitar study with Portland guitarist Dan Balmer and began performing with R&B and soul artists in the Portland music scene.
Through his twenties he performed on recordings with BridgeCity and continued developing as a professional guitarist across live, church, studio and regional performance settings.
